On my Visa statement this month there were two significant line items listed as: Charlottetown, Charlottetown PE. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what they were. I thought perhaps the City of Charlottetown was charging me for random water and sewer usage.
Tonight I called Visa. Without even looking into the details of the transactions the friendly visa gentlemen asked "have you purchased anything from the Future Shop lately?. That was it! I had. He went on to explain that for some reason unbeknownst to logic the Future Shop has changed all of their Visa charges nationwide to be listed as [store location], [city name], [provincial abbreviation]. Needless to say Visa is getting a lot of calls. I imagine the respective cities are also getting a lot of calls.
Future Shop, you might want to revisit your Visa charge bill listing schema.
