The front was also last part to be ripped apart. The front wall was not touched until the fall of 2008. It was ripped open at the latest possible time in order to get the insulation done. As well the front foyer was left intact until last weekend, only when it became necessary to replace the front door and electrical service to continue the outside work. There are many interdependencies on the front between the cedar shingles, roof shingles, trim, doors, stairs, brickwork, electrical, etc. While it would be alot easier to rip it all off at once, it would leave the building unusable. We have tried to minimize the disruption out front as much as possible second only to minimizing the amount of noise produced during work hours. So far I've received far more positive comments than negative ones.
