Long Weekend #2: Becky and I ventured up to Quebec City this weekend to visit a friend who is living there for the summer. What a great place! I haven't been to Quebec City since I was an unappreciative teenager. It really has a European feeling to it. Our friend had an apartment on the same block as the Frontenac so we spent most of our time within the walls of the old city.
In Borden, on the way home, our car (2001 Mazda 626 ES) made a very nasty sound. It then continued to make the sound all of the way into Charlottetown. It was equivalent to someone hitting your engine with a hammer at the same speed as your RPMs. I took the car into the dealership first thing this morning. It looks like we need a new engine. With only 56,000 miles on it this seems ridiculous but necessary.
