I posted the below over on travel.ceoblues.com but I thought you folks may also find it interesting.
Air Canada announced it's "North America Unlimited Pass" today. While I like the idea the price seems to put it out of the hands of us everyday day folk.
The unlimited pass costs $3,499.00 CAD per month. In the small print you'll read that you have to buy a minimum of two months. So the minimum purchase would really be $6,998.00 plus applicable taxes (GST). That's a lot of money. It really would only be of value to the uber business frequent flyer.

I agree it sounds kinda steep, but I remember reading an article about a pilot who's using it to get a million airmiles which will provide him with $70,000 worth of 'free' flights... so $70,000 for $7,000 plus 2 months of your life.
Yeah, I wouldn't do it either :)
btw, here's a link that describes his project:

After years of hitting my head against a brick wall, writing one letter of complaint after another, I just switched airlines. Now I travel US airways. I'm ashamed to admit it, because a big part of flying Air Canada was the patriotic aspect. "Im Canadian and should support a
Canadian enterprise." If Laura Secord was alive today, I swear that company would have her whistling "Dixie".
