As I alluded to back in January. Something was happening at 224 Queen Street. Well here it is. We’ve officially pulled the curtain back and revealed our beautifully messy idea.
So what the heck is this place? Well, at its simplest it is a common office space. Individuals and small companies can use this space to do what they do. They pay a reasonable monthly membership fee and we keep the heat and lights on. At its dreamiest it’s a social hub that will spit creative projects out its chimney into the world at a breakneck speed. If we land anywhere in the middle we’ll be pleased.
To be honest, that’s all we have right now. Part of this messy idea is that we want the folks who will call the Commons home to figure out the rest. A big part of this setup is getting those of you who are interested in the Commons into the building for a look around.
We’re offering free guided tours of the Commons for the next four Fridays (11:00am). This is your chance to see the place before it is renovated. It’s your time to let us know your ideas for the space and the Commons as a whole. It’s also a time for us to get to know you.
Tours:
Friday March 18, 11:00am
Friday March 25, 11:00am
Friday April 1, 11:00am
Friday April 8, 11:00am
Please let us know when you're coming by responding on the Commons' site.
We’ll see you there.

This is really interesting. You'll have to report back on the success as it would be interesting to hear how it goes.

Chris,
I'll be sure to post regular updates on its success (or failure). If all goes well we're planning on sharing detailed information on the setup and operations in hopes that others around the world will setup similar places.
