Sorry for not posting in a while. I've been climbing mountains in NY and NH and fighting off bears...But that's beside the point. Today I rode a Segway. Jim over at Great Hobbies has recently gotten his hands on one (and is rumoured to be a reseller) and let us slices take it for a rip. It's amazing. We're all raving about it. As Jim says, you have to ride it to appreciate it.
I can honestly see myself living in a city and using a Segway as my primary mode of transportation. At just under 6K it's a little pricey, but still cheaper than a car.

I saw a Segway on my street just last night, I assume it was this one maybe?
All I can think about is the blogger meeting in which people made big promises to <a href=http://www.reinvented.net>Peter</a> in order to get him and his cardigan on one... sorry Peter, but I do think that would be quite the site. :-) In a good way of course.

I have a yakima car rack and wondering if anyone knows if the segway can somehow attach to it. It's too dang big to fit in my vw jetta !!!

I have a Segway mounted on a Thule roof rack from http://www.roofrackshop.co.uk and it works using a kayak carrier to support it.
